Description
The Ultra-Light Articulating Night Vision Binocular – Single Control (U.A.N.V.B.-S.C.), known as the “Raptor,” builds on the lessons of previous Nocturn Industries models and incorporates direct user feedback. Engineered with a cutting-edge carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite, the injection molded material surpasses traditional polymer solutions and rivals 6061-T6 aluminum in tensile strength.
It features an ergonomic single control knob for both power and gain adjustment. Double-tapping the knob activates the IR illuminator, with an integrated indicator showing its status, and the brightness can be adjusted while the illuminator is active. Through the same knob users can disable or enable auto off when stowed. A low battery indicator alerts users when battery replacement is required.
The Raptor is compatible with standard EGAC MX-11769 and 3-pad MX-11769 image intensifier tubes, as well as PVS-14 optics and accessories. It includes an on-board battery compartment and has an external LEMO 2-pin power port. The Raptor’s image tube pod is interchangeable with Talon Monocular. Low-profile interpupillary distance (IPD) knobs allow easy, tool-free adjustment for rapid setup and user comfort.
The Raptor is fully designed and assembled in the United States, combining lightweight design, rugged durability, and operational versatility for professional night vision applications.

- Standard Mil-Spec Optics – NVD Cage Code – High quality Mil-Spec Optics (Typically Fuji). Found on most Mil-Spec PVS-14 Units. Weight: 4.5 ounces per set.
- Standard Mil-Spec Optics – Noctis (Formerly Carson) Cage Code – These are identical to our NVD Cage Code optics (Typically Fuji), but have the Cage Code of Noctis (Former Carson). Weight: 4.5 ounces per optic set.
- Rochester Precision Optics (RPO) 3.0 Ultralight – These are the most popular lightweight optic option. They are >45% lighter than Standard Mil-Spec Optics. Weight: 2.4 ounces per optic set.
- Photonis Defense Boomslang 50 Degree FOV – Lightweight 50 Degree optic system. Weight: 3.5 ounces per optic set
- Act in Black 50-Degree FOV – 50 degree optic system offering minimal resolution loss. Weight: 4.7 ounces per optic set.
