The MPCT3X has a design where the top part has an open layout with a horizontal crosshair, while the bottom part has a small dot-style holdover tree. This design includes 0.2 Mil diameter open circles at every whole Mil value, making it easier to quickly spot and use holds even when the scope is set to lower magnification. The holdover tree uses dots arranged in a grid pattern with 0.2 Mil spacing, allowing for more precise adjustments for both elevation and wind.

The upper half of the view has a vertical crosshair that extends up to 4.0 Mils, maintaining a clear view while also enabling better hold-under capability or measurement for bullet trace. In practical terms, shooters can adjust their elevation turret for a target at a medium distance, then use hold-under for closer targets and hold-over for more distant ones when dealing with multiple targets at different ranges.
